British Design Fund (BDF) is delighted to welcome Andrew Clyne on board as specialist advisor. An experienced fund raiser, Andrew will be supporting BDF in liaising with institutional investors, wealth managers and investment groups who are interested in taking part in future funds.
Founded in January 2017, BDF is passionate about driving enterprise and innovation in the UK by investing in and supporting early stage, well designed, product businesses. The Fund works with extraordinary entrepreneurs, who have innovative and scalable products that fulfil a need and are ready to accelerate their growth.
Andrew shares this passion and has been working with ambitious start-up businesses for almost two decades. Primarily supporting tech companies, he helps founders secure the internal talent they need to grow, as well as funding to help them reach the next level. His company, Clyne Partners, understands the unique challenges of building early and growth stage companies and also works with larger firms helping them to drive change and innovate.
Andrew Clyne commented: “I’m delighted to be working with the team at BDF and to be playing my part in helping ambitious UK start-ups to scale-up and turn their product ideas into profitable, long term businesses. I love the vision BDF has and also the type of entrepreneurs and businesses they are backing.”
Damon Bonser, CEO, British Design Fund: “Andrew has a wealth of experience and exceptional contacts in the investment world, which will be invaluable to us. But importantly he shares our commitment to supporting the entrepreneurs and innovators who are creating the big businesses of the future.”
